The RTXHDB Automation Server offers unlimited opportunities for custom
application programmers to seamlessly integrate RTXHDB applications into
Microsoft VB and VBA. RTXHDB
Automation Server can be
accessed by any Visual Basic®-based language (Visual Basic, Visual Basic
Scripting Edition, and Visual Basic for Applications). While RTXHDB
Automation Server is
targeted for deployment by end users without extensive programming knowledge,
there will still be plenty of opportunity for advanced development from either a
remote controller application or internally from VBScript or JavaScript. As an
example, Active Server Pages (ASP)
within Microsoft IIS to create dynamic web content, can use RTXHDB Automation Server to display historical values from
RTXHDB databases. Many VBScript programming examples have been included to offer
practical Visual Basic code examples for the experienced Visual Basic
programmer.
